This system, (PIMS) is a specialized digital solution designed to streamline the administrative, financial, and pastoral operations of a church community particularly a Catholic Church. By leveraging a modern tech stack, this system replaces traditional paper-based record-keeping with a centralized, secure, and accessible platform.

System Overview

The system is built to handle the unique complexities of parish life, from managing sacramental records to tracking tithing and community outreach.

  • Frontend: Built with Bootstrap for a fully responsive, mobile-friendly interface and jQuery to ensure smooth, asynchronous user interactions without constant page reloads.

  • Backend: Powered by PHP, providing robust server-side logic for data processing and security.

  • Database: Utilizing MySQL to store relational data efficiently, ensuring high performance even as the congregation grows.

1. Member & Family Management

The heart of the system is a comprehensive directory that organizes parishioners not just as individuals, but as family units.

  • Profiles: Detailed records including contact info, dates of birth, and occupation.

  • Family Grouping: Links family members together for better pastoral care and communication.

  • Growth Tracking: Automatic calculation of membership trends and demographics.

2. Sacramental Record Keeping
